Hi Simon,

If I don'y understand a word in the question or a word in the topic card, can I ask the examiner to explain that for me or change the topic card? I've heard that examiners can only explain the meaning of words in part 3 of the speaking test and not in parts 1 or 2, is that true? Thank you.

Yavar,

I'm afraid it's true that examiners can only explain things in part 3, not in parts 1 or 2.

Hi Simon,

I begin to learn writing. I have seen your lessons. It's helpful. I am writing this topic: "Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?" but I don't know what social problems and practical problems I can mention in my essay. Can you give me some examples of social and practical problems?

I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
