Note: I used the following exercise on my blog a few years ago. If you've done it before, maybe you can help me to write the transcript of the full recording.
Listen to the following recording about a new “smart fridge”.
Which THREE of these statements are true?
A) The smart fridge is an essential component of kitchens.
B) It is technologically advanced in comparison with other fridges.
C) It alerts users when foods reach their expiry date.
D) It can help consumers when they are out shopping.
E) It is able to make decisions about food purchases.
F) It can tell users which foods are healthier.
Hi Simon.
Thank you very much for giving me so much help by this website.
This is my first comment and I have a question about the speaking test. Should I always reply "YES" for the first question? e.g."Do you like chocolate?"
If I reply "NO, I do not like because I don't like sweet food except fruit. Why don't we change a subject?", would it possible to get another subject or would it make me get a low score?
Because I really don't like to eat sweet man-made food.

Answer : B,C,D
(A) (smart fridge becoming an essential component of kitchens around the world) - becoming means it hasn't been essential yet.
(E) The smart fridge can only help consumers to allow themselves making informed decisions about food purchases.

Not A: AS it is banking on the new smart fridge to become an essential component, so its not an essential component yet.
Not B: As it is a technological marvel when compared to the other fridges of the past only.
Not E: The fridge can't make informed decisions, but helps consumers to.

CORRECT ANSWERS FROM SIMON:
B
C
D
Note:
"A" is wrong: the company (LG) hope that the fridge will become an essential component of kitchens, but that doesn't mean it IS an essential component now.
"E" is wrong: the fridge doesn't make the decisions. It helps the user to make them.
"F" is wrong: it suggests healthy recipes using the food inside, but it doesn't tell you which foods are healthier.
...
