A) is not appropriate because there is nothing about the best world's education system. Finland education is ONE OF THE BEST.
C) There is no information that teachers welcomed this introduction.
So my answer is B.

I am so amazed at this progressive education reform in Finland. In this way we students can apply knowledge we have learnt from school to our real life as well as have a much more holistic view in each problem we encounter with. Thank you for sharing such an informative article.

B)
Finland plans to scrap school subjects = Finnish officials want to remove school subjects from the curriculum

B

B

B. Finland plans to scrap school subjects.
The decision of educational revolution of Finland authorities is desirable since students are able to learn more relative knowledge in one course. This way, students can focus on the course and utilize their obtained skills for suitable application.

B
And i have to say that the idea is so amazing and seems to be incredible for my country...

Hi Diep, are you from Vietnam? I couldn't agree with you more! ^^

B

I think the idea described in the text is very innovative. approaching learning from a holistic standpoint and yet encouraging team bonding among teachers is excellent to mention.

The main point of view is Finnish officials want to get rid of school subjects from the curriculum which is clearly stated in the first paragraph. Other aspects that support this new system like a new format of studying and the involvement of teachers is discussed in the second and the last paragraphs respectively. The idea 'A' seems to be incorrect mainly because the statement 'education system in Finland is the best' described only in the first paragraph and the idea 'C' as well which is written only in the third paragraph. So, my answer is 'B'.

Answer B) Finland plans to scrap school subjects.
Explain:
clue 1:"...and they’ve decided to carry through a real revolution in their school system. Finnish officials want to remove school subjects from the curriculum. There will no longer be any classes in physics, math, literature, history, or geography"
Clue 2: "...The changes are expected to be complete by 2020".
* scrap something: to cancel or get rid of something that is no longer practical or useful.

Anybody from Vietnam?

I picked C.

C

Answer is B .

Finnish officials want to remove school subjects from the curriculum and There will no longer be any classes = Finland plans to scrap school subjects.

B

I think B is the answer.

B

B of course

A) The world's best education system.
Although the first sentence is this, there are not any other example to illustrate this assertion.
C) Teachers in Finland welcome education reform.
This is not mentioned.

I love this idea. I think this kind of learning method will let students actually master an event. Through this way of learning, it seems that students have really experienced these events and students can be deeply impressed by events because they learn the entire facts. When I was young, I learnt events just in the history class and I cannot understand them. Now, I couldnot remember most of these events because i just recited them but could not comprehend events as a whole.

It is B .

B

I think the best possible answer is B because overall the article describes their plan to change the education system.

B

The answer is B. Synonym words: remove = scrap; want = plan.
Explaining the two other answers:
- A, the world's best education system -> in the reading: considered one of the best in the world. It is not correct.
- C, Teachers in Finland welcome education system -> in the reading: it doesn't mention about it, teachers just done to prepare things to undertake the new system. It is not correct too.
- what do you think the idea described in the passage? I think the article reveals the main idea over the changing new system of Finland's education that student can approach by interdisciplinary way and gives more information of the changing process.

CORRECT ANSWER FROM SIMON:

B

plans to scrap school subjects = want to remove school subjects

"scrap" means get rid of, discard, cancel or abolish

PS. I agree that the idea seems really interesting!

A

B
