Dear Sir,
Last month I was on a holiday trip your beuatiful holiday resort. We had such a greet party. We were all drunk and we were under after-hang, and I was not very sure I left my watch somewhere near the bar table. The watch has blue strap and glasses are little scrateched.
My grandmother gave me that during my wedding, so it is very important for me.
So I request you to please look under the table or near the chair and if found please mail it to me. I will pay the postage charges.
Best Regards

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in regards my laptop which I had lost when I visited Sydney last week. My name is Mark John and my travel insurance policy number is TR090.

I bought this Apple Mac book before I went to Sydney and the laptop has gray color, very thin and I had put a sticker of kangaroo on it. It was inside one small bag which is very portable for me to carry my notebook.

I was coming back from my business meeting at City by train from North Sydney to City and I left my laptop where I had seated. I also informed the responsible authorities and filed a complaint for my lost item.

My police complaint number is MJ123 and you could able to recheck with local police station in this matter and please pass my claim as soon as possible if you could so I could able to buy new laptop for my work.

I would like to appreciate your work for considering my application and looking forward to receiving your speedy response.

Yours Faithfully,
Mark John

I have also registered a complaint in the lost property section of Railway station. For your reference to my application, my complain number is RST129, an insurance police numer is MKL006.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to report an incident and request the claim of my suitcase. I have subscribed to one of the insurance schema of your company and I think my insurance covers this incident.

The item I lost was a suitcase with light blue color. It has 4 wheels and one smile sticker on the front. Inside the case, I have my clothes at the bottom. There are 2 shirts and a pair of shoes and on top of the shoes there is a black color sunglasses. Also,I put my passport in the pocket of one of the shirts. I was holding the case while I was waiting for my train. I picked up a phone call from my wife and left the case on the ground. Then the train came and I got on the train forgetting to bring my suitcase. When I noticed that, the train has already started. It was too late for me to get the suitcase.

This being the case, I would like your company to calculate my lost and start the claim process. I am available in the next few days and willing to provide whatever proof if needed.

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks.
Joe

Hi Mahaa,

The letter task is only for the general test, never for the academic test.

...

Hi Mathew,

I don't think it would be a problem, but you should really do what the question tells you to do.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Sarah Michelle Gellar and I'm writing to you regarding an item I have lost last Sunday dated June 15th of this year. The item is an iPad 3rd edition, white in color, and it has a a jelly like protective case that is pink in color, it has my name on it written at the back of the iPad.

The incident happened when I was waiting for someone at the airport. I just arrived from my travel back to Melbourne. I was seating on a bench and busy talking to my friend on the phone, while talking I can remember correctly that I was carrying my iPad then I opted to put it down. For a while I felt that I needed to urinate, so I went to the bathroom leaving my iPad on the bench where I was seating. When I was about to enter the bathroom I remembered that I left my iPad on the bench, so I went back immediately but unfortunately my iPad was nowhere to be found. I directly went to the costumer service and told them about the incident.

I believe that my insurance covers this kind of unfortunate event. My travel insurance number is VT1314 and my complaint number is TV1413, you can check this at the Melbourne International Airport.

Kindly do the needful as soon as possible and looking forward for your speedy response.

Sincerely,

Ms. Sarah

Dear Mr Tony,

I am writing to inform you that I lost my Digital camera when I moved to another city by subway yesterday.
After I arrived in Toronto, I realized that I have lost my carmera somewhere. The carmera is black and it is a little bit heavy.
I have attached a kind of name tag on the bottom of camera so that I am able to find it easier when I lost it.

I think that while I used my smart phone in subway, someone took my camera bag by mistake or I might leave it in some place before I took the subway.
Fortunately, I heard that this case is also covered by your insurance policy. As your customer, I would like to request compensation but I do not
exactly know what kind of paper I should sumbit.

I will really appreciate to you if you let me know about this as soon as possible.
I look forward to your reply.
thank you.

Yours sincerely,
Matthew

Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in regard to insurance policy number 234A to claim my lost laptop.
Last week, I went on short vacation with my friends at Palm Beach hotel. We spend almost three days over there. However, in order to keep track of my office work, I used to carry my laptop where ever I go. Unfortunately, on our last day in the hotel apartment I lost my laptop.
I still remember we were dinning at a round table, my friend left the table to answer one phone call. In between I went to restroom, when I came back surprisingly my laptop was missing. I asked the hotel manager and surrounding people but nobody had appropriate answer. I already register complaint in the police station. I purchased this grey colour laptop about month ago from apple dealer apart from that I mark one dragon sticker on back side of the laptop.
As it covered under my insurance policy, I am entitled to claim for my lost laptop. I already forwarded the police complaint number for your reference. It is very difficult for me to handle my office work without my laptop and I cannot afford to purchase new one. So I will highly appreciate if you could make my settlement as early as you can.
I look forward to receiving your response.
Yours sincerely,
Ajay Sharma

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to file a claim on the travel insurance I have with you, as I lost an expensive item on my trip to Australia from Singapore

The lost item was a 10 inch Sony Tab I bought for 1400$ at JB Hi-Fi shop in Melbourne.

The accident happened on May 10 when I was taking the flight AU380 to Australia from Singapore. I used my tablet to play games on the flight and put it in my cabin bag before landing. Unfortunately, when I passed the immigration at the airport, I found my tablet missing. I contacted the airline company immediately but they did not find it. I assume that someone must have mistakenly taken it.

According to the insurance terms, any lost item costs more than $200 is covered by the contract. So I am entitled to request either a replacement or compensation for my tablet. Please let me know what kind of paperwork I will need to do to make an official claim.

I would like to thank you in advance for your prompt assistance regarding this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Allen

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to inform and claim the insurance for my lost while I took my holiday last week in Australia.

Unfortunately, I did a terrible thing that I forgot my Iphone on the train taking from Melbourne to Sydney. This Iphone was very special for me since it had been bought by my wife. It is Iphone 6 with gold colour and costs about 1000 dolars.

I think the Iphone somehow dropped out from my pocket while I was sleeping on the train or I could be accidentally left it on the table after I spoke to my friend. I also asked and reported this issue to the staff in the lost and found property at the station. However, it seems to me that has gone for ever. It maybe some one has taken it.

Therefore, I would like to ask for 1000 dolars in order to buy a new Iphone. I have also included my insurance contract before I took a trip here for your reference. It is covered all the costs of the lost.

I look forward to receiving your email and response. Thanks in advance!

Your faithfully,

Suri

i went through the most of the letters, some are pretty good and sensible.
i think i must follow this website to enhance my ideas. i plan to write ielts on aug, 2nd 2014

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to make an insurance claim for an item which I lost on Sunday 27 July 2014 during my holidays in Lowestoft. My name is Abrar and my insurance policy number is PK8881.

Allow me to explain this item. It was a black Analog Rolex worth 500 pounds, moreover it had also sentimental value to me due to fact that it was gifted by my grandmother. I was shocked the moment I realized I lost it.

As far as I remember, I think I lost it when I was running on the beach with my friends. I had hard luck searching for it myself. As per the term and conditions of the policy all lost items are covered, therefore, I am eligible for a full compensation.

I have been a loyal customer to your company for the past two years and I hope you will settle my claim within the two weeks processing time.

If you need any more information please feel free to contact me on 777-99-939. Thank you for your time.

Yours Faithfully,

Please rate my letter , I would be very thankful. My GT test is on the 19th.

Dear Sir or Madam,

During the evening time while I was moving around in the Colaba Causeway Market spree for picking up the souvenir for the family. Suddenly I found my pocket was cut and my mobile phone was missing. I have no idea when my cell phone got picked up. The market was full of crowd and narrow roads. I tried searching but didn’t find anything. I have made a complaint in the local police station and am enclosing the receipt of the same herewith the letter.
I would like to know the procedure to claim insurance money for cell phone. Please do let me know, what all are the requirements and request you co-operate in getting me the money as soon as possible.
I’m looking forward to hear from your side soon.
