Tnx simon ! This part is really tricky .

I did not get it, I need more explanation.
Why is the first one is false, it seems to be (Not Given) ?

The first question is understandable if we look at it carefully, BUT, for the second one about New Zealanders i would have chosen FALSE .Hmmm.. it is quite tricky.

Dear Simon & all friends here:)
I hope you all doing great job. I got a topic.
please share and try to answer:
Question:

Norwegian Government wants to put tuition fees for non EU students. Do you agree or disagree?

I would like to ask how can we control the time of reading? please.

British Council is a big machine for making money.
But, Simon, thank you for your advices.

Dear Simon and all friends,
I am taking ielts exam on the 14th of December and I'm worried about my writing as my writing is very poor. I am attempting to write a letter and I hope to hear your advise and correction on this.

YOU HAVE MOVED INTO A NEW HOME AND ARE PLANNING TO HOLD A PARTY. YOU ARE WORRIED THAT THE NOISE MAY DISTURB YOUR NEIGHBOUR.

Write a letter to your neighbour. in your letter
- introduce yourself
- describe your plans for your party
- invite your neighbour

Dear Mr. Sunil,
I am your new neighbour, I shifted here with my wife and a two years old son. I work as a computer engineer in a software company. we are planning to have get together party this weekend, and I would like you to invite you to join the party with my family and friends.

As party will begin from early evening, we are planning to have food from Chinese and continental cuisine with some famous cocktail. Moreover, there is an introduction and a dance session. I will introduce you to my guests and we will eat, drink and dance. I hope you will enjoy and it gives us an opportunity to mingle and helps us to be good friends.

I am cautious about the noise from the party, so I certainly will try to maintain less disturbing environment for neighbour and hope you will excuse me if it does not happen accordingly.

Looking forward to see you in party.

Yours Sicerly
Sar

Hi Simon. I have a question
How can I describe the increase in two figure?
For example, Can I say: There was an increase in the number of car and motorbike. And also, USA saw an increase in the number of car and motorbike.
Is that different from the increase in one figure?

Hi amr,

Read the last line carefully then read question again

hey everyone here is a video about reading techniques that I found interesting http://mytube.uz/tracks/268895.htm

Dear Simon, it is really good advice for a student like me but difficult to understand in practical study. Until now, I cannot separate the difference between false and not given. Most cases I make mistake even cannot guise which is not given and which is false.

For the second question- Most Newzealanders-believe means a majority of people have this opinion, not all.
That is why answer is not given.

Hi Sharada,

Here is my correction for your letter. I put all modifications in CAPLOCK so you can realize it easily. As you can see, I have restructured your writing and added more details which I think will be more appropriate. Anyway, your writing is not too bad. Just keep practising and Gluck!

Dear Mr. Sunil,

YOU MAY FIND IT A BIT STRANGE BUT MAY I INTRODUCE MYSELF. MY NAME IS SARANDA AND I am your new neighbour. I HAVE JUST MOVED IN here with my wife and a two-YEAR-old son. (I work as a computer engineer in a software company/OPTIONAL).

We are planning A WELCOME party this weekend, and I would like to invite you to the party. YOUR ATTENDANCE WOULD BE MY PLEASURE. AND I PROMISE, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO REGRET FOR HAVING COME.

As SCHEDULE, THE party will begin from early evening AND we WILL have CHINESE food, ALONG WITH SOME continental cuisine AND WONDERFUL cocktailS AS WELL. Moreover, there is ALSO a BUSTLING dance session. MEANWHILE, WE STILL HAVE TIME FOR CHATTING AND GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER. I will introduce you to SOME OF MY FRIENDS WHO ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HUMOROUS. IN RETURN, MAYBE YOU WILL TELL ME INTERESTING STORIES ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY THAT MY FAMILY AND I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR.

ABOUT THE PARTY NOISE, PLEASE DO NOT WORRY. I certainly will try to maintain less disturbing environment AS POSSIBLE. IN CASE it does not happen accordingly, I WILL BE GRATEFUL IF YOU LET ME KNOW IN TIME.

I hope you will HAVE A GOOD TIME AND THE PARTY GIVES US A CHANCE TO BE GOOD NEIGHBOURS FIRST, AND POSSIBLY good friends LATER. Looking forward to seeING you AT THE party.

Yours SiNcerly
