Thank you Simon. Your blog has been a huge source of relief.

My exam is on Saturday, 26th October in London. Is anyone having a test on that same day here? You can reach me me on drjoyekpata@gmail.com so that we can share ideas.

Thanks

Joy

Simon, may I ask you a question about Part 2 of Speaking?

You advised us in http://goo.gl/o40FKo "to prepare a description of one place that you could use to answer all of these questions".

I tried, but I felt that such preparation can never be inclusive. What if I forget to incorporate, say, a park, into my answer, and I happen to be asked to describe such kind of stuff?

CORRECT ANSWERS FROM SIMON:

1. buying
2. electronics
3. spending
4. nagging
5. economy
6. commercial
7. loyalty
8. buying / getting
9. life-long

Hi Erik,

Yes, it's not a perfect, foolproof (guaranteed to work) technique, but it can certainly help. You always need to be ready to adapt to the question.

This recording is much more difficult than the real ILETS examination, isn't it?

Thanks for this task but really I am worried about my boy and tv advertising.

Yes it may seem difficult compared with the real listening test, but these kind of topics not only improve listening skills but it can also help in speaking and writing test.
