FROM SIMON:

Here are my suggestions (other ways of correcting the sentences are also possible):

1. It is the finest quality cotton in the world, and commands high export prices.

2. As a result of the mass planting of rice, it is something that every resident can afford and enjoy.

3. I am used to drinking COFFEE early in the morning.

4. The most charming thing about this crop is that it changes its color from green to yellow.

5. India is one of the countries which grow wheat on a large scale.

6. These plants are very small until their second or third year.

7. Since I belong to a farming family, I like cotton plants very much.

8. I like it so much that I can't start my day without a cup of tea.

9. Interestingly enough, nutritionists have examined Fat Choy and have confirmed that it has no nutritional value at all.

NOTE:
You can learn a lot by checking these corrections carefully. Make sure you notice the small things that I have corrected e.g. 'interestingLY' and 'nutritionAL' in number 9.

Hi Simon,

May I ask you a question about your fifth answer?

You wrote "India is one of the countries which GROWS wheat on a large scale".

I consider you think "one of the countries grows wheat on a large scale".
However, can't I think "countries grow wheat on a large scale" and write "India is one of the countries which GROW wheat on a large scale"?

Hi Simon,

I found one topic quite difficult for me in speaking test part 2.
The question is "Describe your behavior when you win an award".
Honestly, i am not sure what does "behavior" mean here.
Is it ok to say i won a BBQ stove so i held a party in my yard?
Do you have any brilliant idea?
Thank you so much!

Hi Simon,
I want to know about speaking part 2.
I attempt very well in both parts, 1 and 3 but I am worry about my speaking part 2. They gave me such a topic so I could not describe as their requirements. So its affect on my result.
I have full confidant about 1 and 3 parts that I attend very well.
Plz rply

Thank you Simon!

Hello Simon,

Thank you for providing the best practice material on your blog and I have been following this blog since 2009. I found this blog immensely helpful and helped me a lot but unfortunately I could not score 7 Bands in each module. The weakest modules are speaking and writing. You will surprise that I have appeared IELTS for thirteen times and going to appear for the fourteenth attempt in November. The latest score in writing and speaking was 6.5 Bands.

I would greatly appreciate if you can provide me the best plan, possibly an intensive, which I can follow to achieve my goal of 7 Bands in writing and speaking. I would totally agree with you that it is totally a subjective matter and have to prepare my own plan but any suggestion would be highly appreciated. Consistent failures have badly stricken my self-confidence which lead to frustration.

Thank you  very much in advance and awaiting your reply.

Regards,

Hemal

Hi Simon,

First of all thank you so much for such a fruitful website. It helped me a lot in my IELTS preparation.
Today, i finished my speaking (GT) test. It was ok. My query is - the examiner was writing on paper in 5 columns, in first column - she had written - 6.13, in second column - 6.11, third column - 5.55, fourth coloumn - 8.15 and last column - 13 with some decimal points.
In above all, i am not sure about the digits after point. But I am sure about first digits that is - 6,6,5,8 and 13.
May i know what was she writing? What does it mean?

Thank you so much again for this website.
I have L,R,W test on 27th.

Thank you
Trupti
