Traffic in Europe is increasingly HEAVY. The aim of the 'European Road Safety Day' is to reduce the DEATH TOLL from road accidents throughout the European Union.

The number of lives saved every year since 2001 has GONE UP markedly in line with FORECASTS. However, there are still nearly 38,000 people killed on Europe's roads each year.

The big problems to address are speed, alcohol or drugs, and not wearing a SEATBELT/SEAT-BELT/SEAT BELT?. These are the PRINCIPAL CAUSES of accidents.

It was about an important issue. Now, I am an active cyclist. I do about 10 km/day, assisting my almost 6 years old son to school ,to and back, he cycles even more after school. However, most of our roads are not well prepared for cyclists, I always try to find some alternatives to busy roads, but it is sometimes very difficult to find, and I am still afraid about cycling along fast going cars.
Thank you, Simon for this video.
