Hi Simon,
I have a question about the sub-bands of the writing test. As we know, there are 4 different assessment criteria. When examiners band essays, can they award .5 to candidates? For example, do examiners give 7.5 for GRA? I wonder if .5 only appears as the writing band, or .5 can be awarded as sub-bands.
Thanks Simon!

CORRECT ANSWERS FROM SIMON:
C
E
F
money
time
principle
Note:
"A" is wrong because he talks about 'goal setting' (planning), not 'achieving'.
"B" is wrong because it's about AVOIDING wasting time.
"D" is wrong because his original talk was about dealing with an advisor, but he says that he has expanded the talk to make it more general.

Hi MT,
0.5 cannot be given for the sub-bands. It only appears when the sub-bands are averaged.

Congratulations Hung!

Thanks Simon!
I saw many teachers, who claim they are IELTS examiners, banding essays by awarding 0.5 for the sub-bands. That's why I had such a question.
