produced (or created)
created (or produced)
stood

were recorded
had increased (or risen)
had risen (or increased)
managed

Hi Ayesha,
Personally, I would mention both sides for that kind of question (as well as giving a clear opinion).
...
Hi Nataly,
I never describe the axes directly. I won't harm your score if you do, but it might waste a bit of time.

Hi Simon,
Just one question for you.
Line 3, No figure "is" given for Korea..
Is it ok to write "was" instead?
Thanks

Hi Ai,
Yes, 'was' is fine too. I used 'is' because we can see the figures now.

Dear Mr. Simon,
Thank you so much for your lesson. However, I am confused about using "manage" in your paragraph above. Can you help me explain how to use "manage"?
Thank you so much

I managed to do it = I was able to do it.

Dear Simon,
May I ask you a question on this ralative old post? regarding to the grammar.
On the other hand, the figure for industrialized countries 'rose' from nearly 9 years of schooling in 1980 to nearly 11 years in 1990.
Can I replace 'rose' by using 'had increased ' here?
Thank you so much!
