It is very clear that the speaker in the video believe that we should not tell anyone else our goals,we will be less motivted because we think we're already one step closer to the goal.
This opinion is different from the view in the article'the tips of success'given by Simon. It says that'women should tell their resolutions to the world, because they benefit from their friends and family's encouragment and support.
From my own experience, I feel more motivated to achive my goals when I share with my experience with my friends. I feel that I have the responsibility to fullfill my dream not only for myself, but also for those people who really care about me.

Hi Simon,
Thanks for solving my graph query.
Your advices are really valuable, as usual.
Now, I went to your facebook page today and I came across the discussion of task 2 cambridge IELTS 8. I took the same aproach initially and have my essay checked by my teacher and when I was rewirting I realised that In that quesiont what is being asked is type of relationship not the type of communication or way of communication. for example, net friends, being part of blog community, online teaching (well, I am Indian and in India we see teacher-student as relation not profession not sure about being accepted as relation in the western world).
Awaiting for your comment on both the task itself and teacher sudent relation. Though it is unlikely to come in IELTS butit will definitely help in similar question.
Thanks in advance.

Or may be I see things differently, because in task 1, I always select the diffferent data than model answer. But after I started to learn from you here on this blog I really feel more confident and started to follow the same method everytime, which boost my speed a lot. Thanks for that.

Hi Sam,
Don't worry about the currency. Just choose India from the list of countries (when you get to that part of the payment process) and PayPal will convert the currency and show you which bank cards can be used.
...
Hi Sunny,
Good point. People often give the opposite advice about that.
...
Hi Kai,
Yes, the question is about "types of relationship" rather than "types of communication", but there are overlaps between the two things. I think you can definitely talk about distance relationships, online relationships, being part of a chat group, having an online teacher etc. All of these are new types of relationship using technology to communicate with people you've never met in person, who may live on the other side of the world.
In other words, I think your ideas are fine. I'm glad you feel that you are improving!

Hello Sir,
I have one query regarding numbers of words in listening test. i was doing listening test 3 in Cambridge book 6. The instructions are, write one word or number for each answer in questions 1-10. But answer for question 3 is "15 Riverside" and for Q 4 it is "2 weeks". I am confused about these. Are the answers not more than one words?. Thank you in advance.
Posted by: raja | Sunday, January 08, 2012 at 13:02
Hi Raja,
I've just check it, and it says "one word AND / OR a number". So one word AND a number is fine.
Posted by: Simon | Sunday, January 08, 2012 at 16:21
Thank you Sir, But what will be the answers for these two questions in one word each?
Posted by: raja | Sunday, January 08, 2012 at 17:48
Hi Raja,
You can't answer those with just one word - you need a word AND a number: 15 Riverside, 2 weeks.

Hi Hathu,
English is always there when I click on the subtitles, so I'm not sure why you can't see it.
